Cycling through the Puster Valley

All types of cycling tours
The South Tyrolean Puster Valley is ideal for mountain biking, as well as hiking. The most beautiful tours start right in front of our guesthouse.
  • Easy tours in Vallarga/Weitental, to Vandoies/Vintl and Fundres/Pfunders. On these relatively traffic-free tours, you ride along meadow paths, as well as asphalted roads.
  • A typical family cycle trip runs from Mühlbach - Rio di Pusteria - via Brunico/Bruneck and S. Candido/Innichen to Lienz in East Tyrol (Austria). The return journey is by train! For more information contact: Puster Bike.
  • The Eisack Valley offers you cycling trails from Bressanone/Brixen via Bolzano/Bozen to Lake Garda. Whenever necessary, you always can use the trains.
  • The cycling route from S. Vigilio/St. Vigil at the Plan de Corones/Kronplatz (milestone of Italian cycling Giro d’Italia in 2006, 2008 and 2010) offers breath-taking panoramic views. It is suitable to use throughout the summer.
  • Since 2010! Downhill & Freestyle Trail Herrnsteig: The new free-style trail ‘Herrnsteig‘ (Lord’s path) is open for downhill orientated mountain bikers and was designed with steep curves, jumps, wooden bridges and all kinds of trimmings. Free-style is the name for this modern type of mountain biking. It promotes concentration, co-ordination, fine motor skills and increases the reaction of mountain bikers.
  • Biking in the Dolomites! The Maratona dles Dolomites is an unforgettable experience. You cycle with approximately 10,000 other cyclists from one Dolomite pass to the next! The Sella Ronda Bike Day offers you 70 km of road with a total difference in altitude of 1,800 metres, as well as great panoramic views! In seven days, Transalp will guide you from Munich to Venice.
